A debate between Democrat Al Weed and Republican
incumbent Virgil Goode will be broadcast live from
Liberty University on WSET ABC 13 and WVIR NBC 29
Monday October 23rd at 8:00pm. Goode will appear
in front of what is likely the largest audience of his
33 year political career.
The debate will reach all or parts of every county in the district except for Brunswick, Mecklenburg, and Lunenburg Counties. “I am looking forward to this opportunity. Mr. Goode has accused me of hiding from my record, yet he is not campaigning and answering the hard questions. Monday nothing will be submitted in writing. The cameras will be on and he will have to tell the truth. The voters will hear about his failed record as a politician and my experience as a soldier and a farmer. They will hear two completely different visions for the future of our district. I am confident about the outcome of this debate and this election. It is time for a change in Virginia and America,” said Al Weed. |
