Supervisor Connie Brennan, Nelson County
These are uncertain times. We Americans are uncertain about nearly everything. Right now, we worry about jobs, a failing health care system, poverty, the environment, education, disaster preparedness, war, trusting our government, and other things. In the future, how will we age, deal with a changing population, define what it means to be an American, understand our role in the world, prepare for a very different life for our kids, struggle with a national debt that seems unreal today, and other things, some of which are unknown?
Who can guide us through our troubled times, and who will lead us into the future, with plans that are thoughtful and responsible and mindful of the changing world in which we live?
Al Weed, whose life work has been to make this world a better place, understands these times and has consistently spoken on the issues in ways that confirm he will work for each and every one of us. He has no questionable connections, no reluctance to deal with the hard issues. He does have strong and forward-thinking ideas on how to keep our county, our region, our state and our nation moving ahead toward a future our children and grandchildren can enjoy.
A vote for Al Weed is a vote for progress, responsible government, international cooperation, fairness for all people, and protection from the real threat of loss of our individual freedoms as Americans.
It is time to find solutions, and Al Weed is the man to help us do that.
